Photo shoot Planning

Planning

For my first shoot I want to do fruits. I want to use fruits like Oranges, Lemon and Limes. Fruits that when they a cut up are close to transparent. I want to use fruits like this because I want to add coloured dye into the fruits to change the colour. I want to use wood backgrounds and arrange my fruits on there. I got my inspiration for doing this from Linda Lomelino. I first found her image of the oranges with dye in on Pinterest I was fascinated by this and wanted to try it myself and thought it would make a perfect first shoot. Although I am using fruits it will be easy to add the dye too I also will try out other fruits and see if the colour will take. My plan is to shoot the images inside my house. I have big windows to let a lot of light threw so lighting shouldn't be a problem. I might try some shots outside but I would prefer to do my shoot inside with natural lighting. I want to shoot my images mostly at a bird’s eye view like Linda Lomelino did with her shoot, although I will try other angles also. Because I don’t want to completely copy Linda Lomelino I want to try and make my images completely different to hers. The time of day when the shoot should be shot is 8am-4pm this is because I want natural light. The best time to shoot would probably be 12pm-1pm.

For the second shoot I want to concentrate more on the background and the prop I will be using such and the cutlery and crockery more than the food I am photographing. I think this second shoot is important to do because I think the crockery and cutlery you use in an image completely makes the photo. I want to get beautiful crockery and cutlery for my second photo-shoot again I think I will probably do this shoot inside with natural lighting. Many of the food photographers I have seen have used very beautiful cutlery and crockery and I seemed to get most of my inspiration for this shoot off, of Pinterest. Time of day to shoot the images 8am
-4pm.
