Image Evaluation

1.

2.

3.

4.

1.I shot this image portrait at bird’s eye view as I knew this was the angle I would need to shoot at to get my images to look like this. I really like the colours and lighting in the image. I used all natural lighting. To get this effect of this image I bought various citrus fruits and cut them equally into circle shapes as best I could and then arranged them in different positions. I like how in this image then isn’t a border around the fruit I think this image is one of the best I shot and think it looks professional. I am very pleased with this image.

2.I shot this image landscape at bird’s eye view again this is my preferred angle for shooting images like these. I think it makes the image look better and lets you see all of what you are shooting. I have used all natural lighting on this image. Again I positioned the fruit to get a different image and zoomed out to get a border around the fruit. I am pleased with this image and think the surface I shot the fruit on was perfect I think it lightens the image up.

3.I shot this image landscape at bird’s eye view with all natural lighting. This image is very similar to the first image the reason to this is I wanted to see what the image would look like both landscape and portrait. I did rearrange the fruit so it’s not identical to the first image. I am happy with this image and think this style of shooting is my favourite. I like shooting at bird’s eye view with food. I think I prefer the images zoomed in on the fruit than the ones I didn’t zoom in on.

4.I shot this image portrait at bird’s eye view with all natural lighting. This image is different to the other three, I wanted to try props in this shoot and I had seen other food photographers using props such as cutlery, crockery and different backgrounds to shoot on. As I didn’t have many different backgrounds I chose to add things to my shoot I cut up an old bed sheet and used the cloth as a background to the fruit and I added the knife I used to cute the fruit into the shoot. I am pleased with the outcome and think the props I used worked well.
